Dead razorbill at the Rathlin Island bird observatory in Northern Ireland. This guy was found in the early morning being torn apart by ravens. The staff saved the body. Their plan is to bury it and did it up after decomp. Then they will add the skull to their collection. When they took him out of the bag to show us, bits if intestines fell everywhere. Yum.

Inspiration for this Blog
Just a normal day, heading to Wal-Mart to pick up some random items for who knows what when this little guy caught my attention.
“How cute, a squirrel sleeping like a little fury human!”
Only it was not sleeping, but dead. And that little blanket is a napkin from the McDonalds inside the Wal-Mart.
So I took a picture, and then it clicked, road kill is kind of funny. Morbidly so.
And now I have a blog. About dead things. And where I find them.
Welcome to “Where the DEAD Things Are.”
